Under assignment with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), I designed and developed the new BIAT web portal (Innovation and High Technology Lab). This B2B matchmaking project focused on design, branding, and user experience (UX/UI), creating an intuitive digital platform that allows Italian operators to promote innovative projects and international operators to schedule meetings.
Project goals
The main goal was to facilitate the promotion of Italian innovative projects, providing foreign operators with a simple interface to browse projects, view details, and schedule B2B meetings. The site enhanced the user experience while streamlining content management for Italian operators and site administrators.
Design and UX/UI solutions
The portal design was created to offer a clean and highly functional interface that meets the operational needs of all users. I developed separate backends for Italian operators and site administrators, enabling them to independently upload and manage projects, while foreign operators could navigate through custom filters, improving the appointment scheduling process.
Content management and customizable sections
The portal features advanced options that allow administrators to activate or deactivate sections visible to the public, ensuring dynamic content management according to operational needs.
This project finds an ideal balance between strategic design and advanced functionality, offering an optimized user experience for a high-performing B2B portal.
Matchmaking and digital agenda system
A custom digital agenda system was developed in collaboration with Riolabs. This tool automated B2B matchmaking, organizing meetings between Italian and foreign operators based on requests and priorities. The system offered flexibility for administrators, allowing manual adjustments when necessary.
