From Kyushu to Kansai

Japan is a country that never ceases to captivate me, no matter how many times I visit.

My recent journey began in Fukuoka, a vibrant city on Kyushu Island known to fans of Godzilla. The city’s blend of modernity and tradition set the perfect tone for the adventure that followed.

From Fukuoka, I traveled to Nara Prefecture, where I was awe-struck by the ancient beauty of Tōdai-ji, the Eastern Great Temple, and Hōryū-ji, the Temple of the Flourishing Law. These historical sites, steeped in cultural significance, offered a glimpse into Japan’s rich heritage.

Next, I ventured to Wakayama Prefecture to explore Mt. Koyasan. The natural beauty of this region is breathtaking, with serene landscapes that evoke a deep sense of tranquility and peace. While in Okuno-in, I had the unique opportunity to visit the gravesite of the 47 Ronin, a place that resonates with the spirit of loyalty and honor.

My journey concluded in Osaka, a city where tradition meets pop culture in the most delightful way. I indulged my inner otaku by visiting my first otaku shop, where I couldn’t resist purchasing a figure of Kenshiro from Hokuto no Ken and the legendary Mazinger Z.

Throughout my travels, I made Ramen my daily meal of choice, especially the thick and hearty Kotteri Ramen, a true culinary gift from the gods of Japan. Every bowl was a celebration of flavor, adding to the unforgettable experiences of this trip.
